OM3 multimode is the workhorse fiber inside a datacenter. The reach is short enough that you stay on the same floor or the same row, and the speed is fast enough that 10G links are the floor, not the ceiling. The JBX45000 series is the patch cable that does that work.
What it is
OM3 50/125 multimode glass in an aqua riser-rated (OFNR) jacket, terminated with LC connectors on both ends. The cable carries 10 gigabit signaling on standard short-wavelength multimode optics, with Type A to B crossover polarity (the standard for duplex patch cords). The outside diameter is 1.8mm, which keeps high-density patch panels readable. Attenuation is tested against ANSI/TIA/EIA-455-171-A, so the spec sheet numbers are what you measure on a power meter.
The length range
Stock lengths run from JBX45000 at 0.5 meters through JBX45031 at 100 meters. The full range covers any patch you would make inside a single rack, between racks in the same row, or across two adjacent rows. TAA compliance
Every cable in the series is TAA compliant. The bulk of them are manufactured in the United States. A smaller portion are built in other TAA-designated countries, which means federal procurement teams can buy across the whole length range without flagging individual SKUs.
