62.5/125 Mode Conditioning Fiber

The purpose of mode conditioning fiber is to connect single mode equipment to a multimode cable plant. For instance, you might have 62.5/125 multimode duplex fiber cable running from one floor of a building up to the next. However, the equipment you might be running utilizes single mode 9/125 fiber-optic connections. Rather than replace the cable between the two floors, it's easier to utilize a mode conditioning fiber cable at each end. This allows you to use single mode equipment across multimode fiber. For this reason, we typically only see mode conditioning fiber cables being purchase in pairs. If you purchase an odd number of mode conditioning cables from us, you may expect an e-mail or phone call to confirm the requirement.
It is also important to note we describe our mode conditioning cables in the following manner: the equipment side appears first in the description; whereas the plant side appears second. For example a MTRJ to ST mode conditioning cable means that a single mode equipment has a MTRJ interface and the multimode fiber between the devices have ST interfaces. If for some reason you do not find the cable that you need listed here, please contact us for a custom fiber quote.
